Enhancing Your Outdoor Space, Enhancing the Environment
Wilkinson Landscaping, a family business established in 1972, has evolved into a leading Commercial Landscaping Contractor in the North West of England. Although the founding family members, John Wilkinson and his son David, have taken a step back from the day-to-day operations, they continue to oversee the business development. The company has grown to employ a dedicated staff of 20 and has recently welcomed a new director, Johnathan Fountain, to the Board.
Our team consists of highly experienced and skilled Landscape Gardeners and Plant and Machinery drivers, all possessing the necessary industry-recognized safety and training qualifications. This enables us to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a professional standard. Wilkinson Landscaping is proudly approved by Constructionline and CHAS accredited.

Our operations director, Johnathan, guarantees that all site managers are issued with relevant RAMS before we attend the site and that all induction courses have been completed. Moreover, we ensure that all our personnel have the required level and specification of PPE demanded by their site manager.
Environmental Approach
At Wilkinson Landscaping, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our activities. We prioritize using local products for projects, recycling waste, choosing environmentally friendly machinery, and adopting a responsible approach to herbicide and pesticide use.
_Using Local Products_
We source turf from Southport, plants and shrubs from Churchtown, Southport, and building materials from merchants in Longridge, who source locally if possible.
_Environmentally Friendly Machinery_
We carefully select machinery with the environment and economics in mind. Our wide range of machines enables us to pick the correct one for the job in hand, balancing the need for efficiency and environmental responsibility.
_Waste Disposal and Recycling_
We recycle waste wherever possible, with spare soils being assessed for use in other projects. All plant containers are recycled, pallets are re-purposed, and all metal containers returned to the nursery for further use.
_Herbicides and Pesticides_
We acknowledge the controversy surrounding the use of pesticides and herbicides. While these substances are crucial for controlling weeds and invasive plants, we strive to take a different approach. We aim to reduce our reliance on these chemicals and explore alternative methods, such as manually removing weeds and investigating organic alternatives.

Destruction of Property and Harm to Animals
The other reviewer has reported that the workers recklessly cut down bushes that fell into their garden, nearly killing their 8-month-old puppy and killing two baby birds nesting in the bushes. The reviewer's son even picked up one of the dead birds, thinking it was a toy.
