At Plymouth Garden Centre, we are a traditional family-run business based in Devon, in the South West of England. With over 55 years of experience, we are dedicated to providing a welcoming and knowledgeable service to all our customers. Our team of friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to help with any queries you may have, and many of our team members have been with us for over 10 years, with some even reaching 40 years of service!

Our History

Founded in 1963, Plymouth Garden Centre has been a staple of the local community for generations. We have been fortunate enough to win the 'Investors in People Award' four times, a testament to our commitment to our staff and to providing an excellent service to our customers.

Our Range

Our extensive range of products includes a variety of plants, gardening supplies, furniture, and decorative items, making us a one-stop-shop for all your gardening needs. We source many of our plants from local nurseries to provide the freshest stock possible. We also support local growers, ensuring that we have the best and most unique products for our customers.

Our Unique Location

Our garden centre is located within the historic Fort Austin, a Victorian fort built in the 1860s to protect the Naval Dockyard from a land attack. The fort's unique features, such as the original drawbridge and gun emplacements, add an extra layer of fascination to the shopping experience. Visitors are encouraged to explore the fort's original walls, tunnels, and ammunition stores, making us a destination unlike any other.

We offer a local delivery service, making it easy to get your purchases home safely. Our staff are always happy to help with any questions or problems you may have, and we have a team of experienced gardeners on hand to offer advice and guidance.
