Designing spaces that connect people to nature.
At Munro Landscape, we are passionate about creating high-quality design solutions that celebrate the unique character of rural landscapes. Our skilled team of experienced professionals has a deep understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities associated with rural environments.
Who we are
Munro Landscape was founded in 2010 by Kelda Platt, a chartered landscape architect with a wealth of experience in environmental and rural design. Joining her is Simon Brown, a seasoned forester with over 20 years of practical forestry work. Together, they bring a diverse range of expertise to every project.
What we do
Our services encompass a broad spectrum of landscape design, management and consultancy, including:
Rural Design
From small car parks to large-scale holiday cabin sites, we provide sensitive design solutions for all scales of rural projects, ensuring that they seamlessly blend into their surroundings.
Recreation
We design accessible trails, viewpoints and interpretation spaces that connect people with the landscape in meaningful ways.
Play Spaces
Creating joyful and inclusive play areas that foster nature connection for all ages and abilities.
Gardens
Developing beautiful garden settings with rich planting schemes, outdoor rooms and social spaces.
Assessment
We undertake Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), site monitoring and visualisations to assess the potential impact of development on the surrounding environment.
Forestry
We provide guidance on Forestry Grant applications, planning, planting and woodland management.
Our Approach
We believe in creating designs that are sensitive to the landscape, fit seamlessly with site, setting and sense of place. Our designs often contrast and surprise, while still blending seamlessly into the surrounding environment. We are passionate about inclusivity and strive to create accessible spaces for all users.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to work on a diverse range of projects, including:
- Nevis Forest Cabins - A new holiday cabin site in the Nevis Mountains.
