At Bosworth's Garden Centre, we pride ourselves on being a family-owned and independent business, serving the community since 1959. Our journey began with Frank and Helena Bosworth, who moved to a smallholding site in Finedon Road, Burton Latimer, along with their son John. The site was initially used for agricultural and horticultural crops, livestock, and market stalls. As the business expanded, John and his wife Jill took over the reins, and the retail nursery was established.
In the 1980s, the focus shifted from agriculture to horticulture, and the retail structure was built to sell bedding plants. The cold frames were replaced with a steel-framed polythene-clad structure, which is still standing today, housing our coffee shop. Over the years, the business has grown and evolved, with Sam Bosworth, John's son, and his wife Tania taking over the reins.
