Beetham Nurseries

We are Beetham Nurseries, a family-run garden centre and nursery with more than 40 years of operational experience serving gardeners and visitors across Cumbria and the wider UK. Our site is conveniently located on the A6, south of Milnthorpe in south Cumbria, just a 10-minute drive from the M6 motorway, making us easily accessible for day trips and regular visits. We operate our own dedicated Growing Nursery on site, where we cultivate a wide selection of Cumbrian-grown perennials available for purchase by visitors. Our team holds extensive specialist knowledge of plants, outdoor living, and home and garden products, allowing us to provide tailored, expert advice to customers of all skill levels. We stock an extensive range of plants, from small starter specimens to mature garden varieties, across both our main Garden Centre and our Growing Nursery. In addition to our plant offerings, we host a curated range of hands-on gardening workshops for individuals and groups, led by our experienced in-house horticulture team. Our full on-site facility includes a Food Hall, Home & Lifestyle Shop, dedicated Gift Shop, family-friendly Garden Cafe, and Wood Fired Kitchen, all available under one roof for visitor convenience.

We uphold rigorous professional standards across all our operations, from plant cultivation and product sourcing to customer service and event delivery. We are committed to full transparency with our customers, including clear communication of our data policies: we never share newsletter sign-up data with third parties, and subscribers can unsubscribe at any time. Our team prioritises client satisfaction above all else, working to create welcoming, inclusive experiences for every visitor, including those visiting with dogs, in line with our clear dog policy. We actively support our local community through our charity partnerships and by hosting popular annual events including Apple Weekend, our Christmas Market, and Dementia Awareness Day 2026.
