At Teasels Landscapes, we are an award-winning garden build company with a profound interest in sustainable and ecological garden design and construction. Our team of skilled professionals works closely with garden designers to bring their plans to life. We are dedicated to providing top-quality workmanship and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every garden we build reflects our clients' unique tastes and preferences.

Our team is led by our director, Jonathan Mitchell, who is passionate about incorporating nature into our gardens and connecting us with the earth. He oversees the running of our projects, acting as the point of contact between clients, designers, and our team. Jonathan also runs a garden design practice that focuses on ecological and sustainable garden and landscape design. His passion for nature and the environment shines through in every project he undertakes.

We are members of the Association of Professional Landscapers and Trust Mark, and we offer a complete service throughout the build of your new garden and into its first few years of care and development. Our landscaping team specializes in constructing larger, high-quality, bespoke gardens where a project requires a range of skills to complete it. Each project is overseen by a project lead who ensures that none of the small details which make the garden yours are forgotten.

Meet the Team

Our team consists of experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering the highest standards of workmanship. James Page, our Operations Lead, joined the team in 2021 and brings a wealth of construction experience. His meticulous eye for detail and dedication to delivering quality drives our business to the high standards of garden construction for which we are known.

Rhys Killett, our Team Leader, has been a crucial part of our business since 2016. He has grown his skillset alongside us and now oversees the day-to-day of one of our landscaping teams. His eye for detail and precision is expressed best in the paving and hard landscaping he installs.

Sidney Spooner, our part-time gardener, works with us to maintain some of the gardens we build. With a passion for sustainability, his softer approach equips him perfectly to work with our organic, wilder approach to gardens.

Connor Steadman, our Landscaper, has been working within the industry for 10 years and is a key member of the team. With a focus on hard landscaping, he is a meticulous landscaper creating the high standards within the gardens we build.

Sam Foster, our Landscape Apprentice, is in the first year of his Association of Professional Landscaper apprenticeship. He works within one of our landscaping teams, contributing to the high standards of workmanship we require.

Ecological Garden Design

Alongside our landscaping work, Jonathan also runs a garden design practice that focuses on ecological and sustainable garden and landscape design. Our planet is in dire need of ecological recovery, and our gardens can be the perfect space to do this. Combining design with nature allows us to build beautiful gardens and create habitats while lowering the carbon footprint during the landscaping and into the future maintenance of the garden.

Nature brings many additional layers of interest into the garden and connects us with the earth and having this outside the backdoor brings huge benefits to our physical and mental wellbeing.
