Ben MacDonald Gardens was founded in Brighton in 2002 by Ben MacDonald, a passionate and experienced garden designer with ecological and sustainable design principles. With a reputation for design and horticultural expertise, Ben has spent years honing his craft, working closely with clients to create innovative and beautiful gardens that inspire, contemplate, and activate.

Our Story

Ben's journey began in horticulture, working with trees and developing a passion for the gardens in which they are planted. After qualifying, he spent eight years working alongside some of the best gardeners in the country, including Rosemary Verey, Rupert Golby, and Roger Platts. This experience gave him a deep understanding of the importance of design, ecology, and sustainability in garden creation.
