Our journey began in the early 1980s when Chris Potter, a television journalist for Tyne Tees TV, and Nick Crabbie, a Berwickshire farmer, identified a gap in garden retail provision in BerwickuponTweed. During a prolonged strike at the TV company, Chris started propagating shrub cuttings, laying the practical foundation for our first centre. Together we searched the surrounding area and secured the walled garden of Ford Castle in rural Northumberland as our inaugural site. Today we operate three garden centres, each accredited by the prestigious Garden Centre Association, reflecting our adherence to high professional standards.
