Bring the outside in and take the inside out
The Barn is a family-run garden centre that has been serving the community of Colchester, Essex, and its surrounding areas since 1986. The business was first established by the current owner's father, who started with a small number of bedding plants grown in a few greenhouses. Over the years, the business has grown and evolved, and in 2013, Richard and his wife Rachel took over the operations, further developing the business into the unique garden centre that it is today.
The Barn is known for its wide range of carefully curated plants, handpicked stylish gardenalia, and giftware. The business prides itself on its family-oriented approach, with a focus on excellent customer service. The team at The Barn is dedicated to providing customers with a memorable experience, whether they are looking for plants, home and garden accessories, or a relaxing break in the cafe.
The Barn's cafe was introduced in 2002, in response to the increasing number of loyal customers. In 2017, the cafe underwent an extensive refurbishment and now serves delicious coffee and cakes, as well as home-cooked breakfast and lunch. The cafe is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day of shopping or gardening.
