History
Green Island Gardens has a rich history, dating back to the 18th century. Originally part of the Ardleigh Park estate, the property was once the home of Miss Winifred Elin, an anthroposophist and member of the Waldorf movement. The property remained in the family until 1958, when it was sold to Raymond Erith, who designed the charming bungalow that still stands today. Over the years, the property has undergone many changes, with the gardens evolving into the beautiful oasis we know today.
