Our Story

The Botanical Gardener was established in 2005 by Chris Warren, who after many years of gardening in Botanical Gardens around the world, decided to create his own company. Chris's vision was to build and maintain beautiful gardens, combining his passion for horticulture with a commitment to exceptional customer service. Today, The Botanical Gardener is a thriving business, renowned for its expertise and dedication to achieving the highest standards.

Chris Warren, our Director, is a highly experienced horticulturist, with a wealth of knowledge gained from working in Botanical Gardens around the world. Chris leads the team with passion and dedication, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.

Bryony Warren, our Design Director, has a deep-rooted love for gardening, inspired by her childhood spent gardening with her father and grandfather. Bryony heads the design arm of the company, creating beautiful and functional garden designs that reflect each client's individual style and requirements.

Toby Bull, our Project Manager, ensures the smooth running of our gardening teams, keeping the show on the road. His expertise and qualifications, including his RHS level 3, make him an invaluable member of the team.

Amanda Bates, our Maintenance Manager, brings 16 years of experience in account management and client-facing roles to the company. Amanda manages the schedules and gardeners, ensuring high-end garden maintenance and the implementation of soft landscaping themes.

Clara Guedes, our Garden Designer, is a Landscape Architect with a passion for private gardens. With over 12 years of experience, Clara specialises in designing gardens that suit her clients' lifestyles.

Millie Wenham, our Office Manager, provides administrative assistance, marketing and runs the office on a day-to-day basis. With a background in the property sector, Millie ensures the smooth running of the business.

Alex Blackley, our Lead Gardener, has extensive plant knowledge and a real love for maintaining and growing plants. His keen eye for design and place at Kew Gardens make him a valuable member of our team.

Solveig Ziedins, our Horticulturist, has over 25 years of horticulture experience. With a talent for container gardening and a keen eye for detail, Solveig brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the company.

Aaron Spring, our Lead Gardener, has a great relationship with clients and a real passion for maintaining gardens to a high standard. His love for National Trust gardens makes him a true gardening enthusiast.

Celso Bruzadin, our Lead Gardener, has turned his childhood hobby into a profession. With a love for plants and nature, Celso is currently studying for his RHS Diploma.

Owen Sherrod, our Landscape Assistant/Gardener, is a valuable member of our team, assisting with landscaping projects and general garden maintenance.
