About Us

Robert Field established Robert Field Landscapes in 1985, driven by a passion for gardens and a desire to help his clients realize their landscaping dreams. His journey began with a National Diploma in Landscape Construction from Merrist Wood Agricultural College and a BSc in Building Technology from UMIST. This strong academic foundation, coupled with his innate love for horticulture, propelled him to launch his own company.

The company's commitment to excellence was quickly recognised, leading to its acceptance into the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) in 1987. BALI membership is a prestigious accreditation, awarded only to companies that demonstrate exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and customer service. They must rigorously prove their competence through a series of tests and maintain a high standard consistently. This commitment to excellence has been central to Robert Field Landscapes' enduring success.

Robert's dedication to the industry was further evidenced in 2009 when he was invited to serve on the national board of BALI, where he currently holds the position of National Vice-chair. This distinguished role reflects his deep understanding of the landscaping sector and his unwavering commitment to raising professional standards within the industry.
